Download FlowReader

Pick the browser extension or the desktop app. Both are the full FlowReader, with the same reader, notes and settings. Each install keeps its own library. With Pro, they can share one through sync.

  • Chrome & Chromium browsers

    Chrome, Edge, Brave or another up-to-date Chromium browser.

    The whole app, in the browser. Installs from the Chrome Web Store.

    Firefox 140 or later, on the desktop.

    The whole app, in the browser. In Firefox, this button installs it straight away.

Desktop app

  • macOS

    macOS 10.15 or later, on Apple silicon or Intel.

    A disk image, signed and checked by Apple.

    A 64-bit Intel or AMD computer (x86-64).

    Pick a file, or use your package manager so FlowReader updates with the rest of your system. The AppImage updates itself. A .deb or .rpm installed from the file doesn’t.

iOS and Android Coming soon

FlowReader for iPhone, iPad and Android is in development. It is not in the App Store or on Google Play yet, and there is no public beta.

How to set up sync

Before you install

No account needed
The app works without signing in. Your library stays on your device until you turn on sync.
Release channel
Version 1.1.6. The extension updates through its store, and the desktop app updates itself or through your package manager.
Signing
The macOS app is signed and checked by Apple. The Windows installer isn’t code-signed yet. The first time you run it, Windows shows a SmartScreen warning and asks you to confirm.
