De juridiske dokumentene foreligger foreløpig kun på engelsk. Den engelske teksten er den gjeldende versjonen.

Two separate things are often confused: the statutory right to withdraw from a new subscription, and getting money back when something has gone wrong. This page covers both, and says which one applies when.

The 14-day right of withdrawal

Consumers in the EEA and the United Kingdom have 14 days from concluding the contract to withdraw from it, for any reason or none. You do not have to justify it, and there is no fee. In Norway this is the right under angrerettloven; elsewhere in the EEA it comes from the Consumer Rights Directive, and in the UK from the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

This is not the same as cancelling. Cancelling stops your next renewal. Withdrawing unwinds the purchase itself.

If you start using Pro straight away

FlowReader Pro starts working the moment you subscribe, which is what almost everyone wants. Asking for it to start immediately means that if you then withdraw within the 14 days, you pay a proportionate amount for the days you actually had it, and we refund the remainder.

If you subscribed but did not ask us to begin during the withdrawal period, you get the full amount back.

A trial changes nothing here: you are not charged during it, and the withdrawal period runs from when the contract was concluded.

How to withdraw

Tell us before the 14 days are up, in any clear statement: the contact form on this site is enough, and so is an email. You can use the model form in the terms of service, but you are not required to.

We refund within 14 days of being told, to the payment method you used, at no cost to you.

Refunds after the withdrawal period

Once the 14 days have passed, the statutory withdrawal right is spent, but you are not out of options. We will consider a refund for duplicate charges, accidental purchases, and technical failures that stopped Pro working. Contact us with your account email and a short description. Never send card numbers or payment credentials.

Cancelling on its own stops future charges and does not refund periods already paid.

If the service is faulty

Separately from anything on this page, EEA and UK consumers have statutory rights when a digital service does not conform to what was promised: to have it fixed, to a price reduction, or to terminate and be refunded. Those rights last longer than 14 days and cannot be signed away. The statutory rights section of the terms of service sets them out.

Purchases made through Apple

iOS in-app purchases for the FlowReader mobile app are sold by Apple, not by us. Apple is the merchant of record, so withdrawal and refunds for those purchases go through Apple’s own process, and we cannot issue them directly. We can still help you work out what happened.

Contact

Use the contact form on this site and pick the billing topic, or write to contact@flowreader.io. If we cannot resolve it, the terms of service explain the out-of-court dispute route.
